Barbados is a superb island for partying...
The majority of major nightclubs in Barbados offer an all-inclusive drinks free concept for partying. You pay the cover charge which is a maximum of $25.00 USD on a regular night to enter the club and that price also gets you all the alcohol you can drink FREE. It's amazing....This price covers beer, rum, vodka, gin and guiness. Any premium drinks like wine, etc, you pay for but they are usually drink specials. Those of you that have been here in Barbados and partied at places like Club Xtreme and Harbour Lites would have gotten this great deal.
The Clubs
Club Xtreme is an indoor club built with a professional and elegant design design perfect for clubbing in the southern part of the island. There are tons of special effects, lighting, smoke and more. They are usually open and pumping on tuesdays, fridays and saturdays and play all different types anof music. They offer the drinks free concept and doors open between 10pm - 4am.

Harbour Lights is a pretty decent outdoor Club, I must say. Harbour Lights is an exclusive open-air beachfront club with top live entertainment. One of the island's most popular, tropical and trendy night clubs. Harbour Lights appeals to both locals and visitors alike.
Each night offers its own special theme, from Beach Parties and 'Drinks Free' nights to top live bands and '$1.00 Drinks' nights. They host superb Beach Extravaganza Dinner Shows. It's barefoot elegance under the stars with free-flowing exotic drinks, a friendly tropical ambience and lively entertainment.
Open nights are: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

Ship Inn brings live music, live sports, great food and the best atmosphere in Barbados. Established in 1974 the Ship Inn has it all. Located in the trendy St Lawrence Gap on the south coast of the island.
You can enjoy a traditional Bajan buffet in the Captains Carvery, open for lunch and dinner. Or enjoy the casual a la carte dining on our deck in The Restaurant. For the late night munchies try Barnacle Bill's BBQ for fresh Char-Grilled, fish and chicken sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs. Open from 10:30 pm till the wee hours.
When it comes to party time that's when the Ship Inn really comes alive with the best DJs and live bands in Barbados. Dance until the morning hours under the stars in the courtyard or enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the pub.
That's not all. If you want to see the big game then the Ship Inn is the place for you with loads of big screen TVs, live satellite sports and great bar food and drinks.
Last but not least don't forget to stop in at the Porthole Gift Shop for souvenirs, T-shirts or just a memento of your time at The Ship Inn in Barbados.

Feel free to post your comments about these 3 night clubs if you have been there and you can add some information on any other nightclubs we didn't include above.

Barbados has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Our name has been mentioned in the media in relation to vacations on so many occasions. In the movie Air Force One, the president (Harrison Ford) jokingly asked the pilot to take him to Barbados for vacation. Though it was just a joke, the mention of Barbados speaks volumes about its beauty.
When you come to Barbados, there are many beaches of which you can sample. On all the island coasts beaches can be found. They vary in size and environment but they all take your breath away.
The white sand beaches on the west and south coast of the island are massaged by the clean and crystal clear Caribbean Sea. Folkstone and Mullins beach can be found on the west coast and are favorites of both tourist and local alike. The white fine sands are so beautiful and there are many hotels along the west coast which take advantage of this beauty. Mullins in particular is a very tranquil beach on which sea bathers bask in the Caribbean sun.
Accra beach and Pebbles beach are south coast beaches. The Accra Beach Hotel is situated on Accra beach and from the lobby straight past the pool, access to the beach is available to guests. Many weddings take place at this hotel because of how the entrance to the beach has been designed, it makes for good photographs. Pebbles beach is located right beside the Barbados Hilton. It is a very popular beach as it allows person to walk from beach to beach. One can walk from Pebbles beach to Brown’s beach and onward past the Baystreet Esplanade and onto the back of the Boatyard Jetty and Entertainment Club.
Miami Beach is another south coast beach with two beaches in one. On entry of the parking area, there is a beach on the right and one on the left. The one on the right is tranquil and the water is clear and the waves are docile, in contrast the beach on the left is more aggressive and the waves are high. So whether you like docile or aggressive, Miami Beach offers both varieties.
On the east coast of the island there are the beaches which are battered by the Atlantic Ocean. The waves are high and the currents are strong. East Coast Beach and Bathsheba Beach are two of them. East Coast Beach is frequented by the locals from the area but visitors are cautioned about the strong currents and jelly fish which can be found across the east coast of the island. Bathsheba Beach is known by surfers from all over the world. International surfing competitions are held here often and the Bajan surfers always hold there own against the best of the world.
Foul Bay can be found on the coast of the parish of St. Phillip. It is one of the more secluded beaches in Barbados. Access to the beach is not as easy as others as you must climb down some rocks to gain access. It is a thrill and an adventure to go to this beach. Once there, the beach is beautiful and the atmosphere is really one of relaxation.
Finally River Bay is located on the north end of the island. The Atlantic Ocean beats on this beach as well. It has a number of cliffs and a view that causes visitors to stare in awe. This beach is not the best to bathe in but it gives a good view of the Atlantic Ocean to those who wish to see. Jelly fish and sharks, even the occasional whale can be found at this beach.
A variety of beautiful beaches can be experienced on the very beautiful island of Barbados. If you are a beach lover and love the waves or even if you have never seen a beach in your life, Barbados is the place for you. Come see for yourself.

The cruise line industry is huge in the Caribbean. Close to a half of a million vacationers come to Barbados by cruise ship each year. They are so many extras on the ships, activity rooms, duty free shopping and top class cuisine are a few of these.
The BridgetownPort is the usual port of entry to the cruise ship; the other would be Port St. Charles on the south coast of the island.
But even before getting to the island, we recommend early planning and detailing the trip. Rates and ships available depend on the season in which you travel. It would be wise to make early booking so as not to encounter fully booked ships. Taking the time to call the cruise line for more information would also be a good idea. Here are some thoughts that you need to answer when taking your trip.
- Season of the year
- Rates
- Cruise Class
- Activities and offers on ship
- Island Schedule (Miami, Ft.Lauderdale, and Tampa are primary departure ports to Barbados)
- Which ship in fleet
- Cabin size
- Best time of year to go (if there is no preference)
- If it is a family vacation, select more family oriented activities suited for both adults and children
Couples may want a more private environment when they travel, the Princess Cruise would be considered a good choice. However, if luxury is what you are looking for, research which liners have a reputation for the extraordinary, such as Crystal or Silversea.
On arrival to Barbados be sure that you consult the cruise director about the docking time for each port stop to plan satisfactory time for sightseeing while in Barbados. There are also information booths in the BarbadosPort which would aid you in any queries you may have.
Finally before you even leave from your home, make sure you have in your possession all that you need. Try not to pack too much, Beach clothing and footwear are a must but on evenings, during dinner, one may want to have a nice evening dress or tuxedo. Make sure you remember clothing for Barbados as well and not just the cruise to the island. On the ship itself, any complaints or complements please direct to the cruise director.
A cruise to Barbados is an experience out of this world. We take pride in our beautiful beaches and white sands. It is logical to take the most scenic routes to Barbados as you are traveling to one of the most loved island in the Caribbean. Come take some time off and spend a few days with us.
